About The Position

Mad Science is hiring additional instructors to teach their programs due to a busy fall schedule. Most programs take place in the after-school hours, Monday through Friday, between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM, with additional hours available on weekends and periodically during the day. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. The company is a team of STEM-loving individuals who transform laboratory science into fun, interactive learning experiences for youth from Pre-K to 6th grade. They believe in working smart and having a good time, with team members wearing many hats and working collaboratively. The job involves teaching science workshops, providing all necessary supplies, equipment, and curriculum for easy-to-teach, fun science classes, primarily for K-5th graders, focusing on basic science concepts in an engaging way. Instructors will drive to various locations, lead one-hour immersive and interactive science lessons after receiving paid training, and are reimbursed for mileage.

Requirements

• Flexible, creative, engaging, and have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Love children, science, teaching, and/or acting.
• Own/have regular access to a car.
• Ability to take initiative and autonomy.
• Excited by non-traditional work schedules.
• Not afraid to try new things and love variety.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
