The Welding Technology Instructor will teach assigned welding lecture, laboratory, and related technical courses in accordance with approved course descriptions, student learning outcomes, master syllabi, College policies, and applicable industry standards. This role involves providing classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and supervised laboratory experiences in a wide range of welding and fabrication topics. The instructor will integrate NCCER curriculum and AWS SENSE standards, demonstrate proper equipment operation and maintenance, and ensure strict compliance with safety procedures. Responsibilities also include developing laboratory exercises, evaluating student welds, preparing students for certification exams, maintaining academic records, providing student advising, and maintaining the welding laboratory. The position involves curriculum development, staying current with industry practices, building relationships with employers, and participating in college activities and professional development.
