Conducts individual and group training courses and activities. Is involved in designing new training offers. Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex Varian products. Interacts with customer, functional and cross functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation. Works with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features. Working with High Voltage experience is a must. Demonstrates ability to perform intermediate equipment maintenance and support (PMP or PMI) on various equipment. Can troubleshoot basic to advance problems with some assistance. Can read and interpret schematic diagrams with some aid or assistance. Can interpret documentation to permanently keep informed regarding all operating characteristics, design factors, technical performance and developments of Varian products. Maintain a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness per Varian guidelines to perform activities under the safest working conditions Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in solving complex business problems. Follows up to determine applicability of course material. This position may require you to work Alternate Shift and /Second Shift and weekends. This position will require domestic and international travel. Potential travel 50%.

Requirements

  • Working with High Voltage experience is a must.
  • Graduate of Technical Institute or University in electronics, electrical / biomedical, IT engineering or related fields.
  • An in-depth technical understanding and knowledge of Varian’s TrueBeam treatment delivery system is required.
  • Experience with TrueBeam Installations/Upgrades, Maintenance and Service is required.
  • Basic familiarity with ARIA CORE oncology management solution is required.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position.
  • A successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Nice To Haves

  • Similar technical familiarity and experience with the Halcyon treatment delivery system and IDENTIFY are preferred.
  • Experience with the following: Smart Connect, Unity and VarianThink.
