About The Position

Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. The purpose of this position is to assign/coordinate daily and future lesson assignments, scheduling, and activities for Mountain Bike Coaches and Summer Camp Counselors. It also involves ensuring daily activities are accurately accounted for from beginning to end, phone and front sales work, and helping all daily summer Skier Services operations as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Seven-day-a-week availability, typically four days at 8-10 hours per day
• Computer proficient; able to type 35 wpm; MS Word and Excel applications
• Ability to multi-task; detail oriented and attentive to follow through
• Organized, motivated, keep a positive attitude, and remain calm during high stress times
• Able to self-manage their time and responsibilities
• Exemplify a strong work ethic
• Function as a team player
• Interact with members of Skier Services peer group, instructors, agents, and supervisors in a positive and professional manner
• Interact positively with other Deer Valley Resort employees
• Communicate any suggestions or concerns to manager in a timely manner
• Speak and act professionally while on duty
• Support/follow Deer Valley Resort policies and procedures and DV Employee Handbook guidelines

• Operational knowledge of all Deer Valley proprietary Skier/Summer Services computer systems, including but not limited to DVSS and Crystal reporting, preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Bike Coaches’ daily scheduling, including but not limited to, getting all lesson information from the guest to biking guide, entering all lesson information into the system, updating all daily reports, monitoring the inventory for current day’s and future assignments, and following up with guides and guest on lesson requests
• Coordinate Summer Camp counselors’ scheduling, including but not limited to, monitoring the inventory for current day’s and future Summer Camp availability
• Follow up with Summer Camp management team
• Communicate and work closely with the Reservations, Retail and Sales, Summer Camp, Ticket Office, Rental Shop and Administrative departments regarding all requests and unassigned lessons
• Communicate and support all departments with their specific programs, as well as assisting them with questions and reports; operate a two-way radio device
• Process or be a liaison for handling all outstanding summer divisional accounts, working with divisional accounting department to resolve guest disputes, inquiries, and guest statements
• Assist with departmental training; DVSS, Teams, etc.
• Assist departments in critical situations
• Work as a back-up agent; Reservations and Camp desk
• Handle phone calls regarding lesson information and questions
• Clean and organize desks in the Advanced Scheduling office and shared bike coach area on a daily basis
• Perform all other assigned duties and responsibilities when appropriate
