About The Position

As an intern you will participate in our nationwide Internship & Co-Op Program, LEAP, where you will have the opportunity to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. This opportunity is full-time during the summer (May-August). Relocation will be not offered, and housing is not provided. BAE Systems Inc. is a leading global defense, security, and aerospace company. Our Integrated Master Scheduling group plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. We're seeking a highly motivated and talented summer intern to join our team and learn the fundamentals of master scheduling. As a summer intern in our Integrated Master Scheduling group, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain hands-on experience in master scheduling. This is an entry-level internship, and no prior scheduling experience is required. We'll provide you with training and guidance to help you develop new skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Business, Operations, or Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with project management principles and concepts
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in data entry and data management tasks related to master scheduling
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and support scheduling activities
  • Learn and understand master scheduling concepts, tools, and best practices
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on scheduling-related topics
  • Develop and maintain documentation and reports related to scheduling activities
  • Work closely with senior schedulers to learn and understand their roles and responsibilities
