About The Position

The Instructor is expected to participate actively in collaborative clinical, translational, and public health-focused research and to mentor talented mentees. Candidates should have a track record of scholarly research and publications, along with a history of extramural funding or evidence of potential to obtain it. An appropriate research focus directly informs the development, testing, or implementation of interventions to prevent or treat substance use, neuropsychiatric, or mental health disorders. Preference is given to candidates who integrate ethics, community engagement, implementation science, and/or health services research into their work and value interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree.
• Research focus in translational research and/or treatment of substance use, neuropsychiatric, or mental health disorders.
• Track record of scholarly research and publications.
• History of extramural funding or evidence of potential to obtain extramural funding.

• Research experience in encouraged areas such as evidence-based interventions for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders; implementation and scaling of treatments; health equity, ethics, and public health engagement; transdisciplinary responses to the overdose crisis; transdiagnostic etiological mechanisms; novel mental health and substance use treatment advances; or precision medicine and data-driven methods.
