About The Position

Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) is seeking a dedicated 10-month Clinical Instructor for its Radiologic Technology program. This role involves instructing students in Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The instructor will provide high-quality clinical, didactic, and laboratory instruction, ensuring students acquire the necessary competencies for advanced imaging practice. Key responsibilities include collaborating with faculty, clinical sites, and students to foster skill development, patient-care competence, and preparation for professional certification exams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years of documented clinical experience.
  • Holds the ARRT credential or equivalent in Radiography.
  • Documented experience in instruction, supervision, evaluation, and student guidance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Qualified to teach the subject matter.
  • Credentials in CT and MRI preferred.
  • Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching assigned courses and components in radiologic science, CT, and MRI during the 10-month contract period.
  • Developing lesson plans, assessments, lab exercises, and instructional materials.
  • Assisting with scheduling, communication with clinical sites, and coordination of clinical rotations.
  • Contributing to student learning assessment, program improvement, and documentation requirements.
  • Attending meetings, participating in professional development, and supporting program recruitment activities.
  • Assisting with the preparation of accreditation documents for initial and continuing accreditation.
