JOB SUMMARY The Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) Instructor is responsible for teaching and implementing the Pre-ETS curriculum to students aged 14-21 years old within school settings. This role also includes assisting with Summer, Fall, and Spring GROW program activities, providing and delivering workplace readiness training to students. This is an in-person position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related field.
2 years’ experience in vocational rehabilitation or a teaching role.
Experience teaching or delivering career/work readiness to individuals with disabilities.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Develops Program Guide: Create a comprehensive guide, timeline of services, and project plan for the Pre-ETS program.
Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of services for students in the Pre-ETS program from referral to exit.
Curriculum Instruction: Teach pre-vocational skills curriculum (Job Exploration Counseling, Work Based Learning, Workplace Readiness Training, Counseling on Postsecondary and Self-Advocacy).
Coordination: Meet with referral sources, schools, and parent advisory groups to plan and implement the program.
Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of the students.
Scheduling: Arrange class times with identified schools and conduct initial site visits.
Classroom Management: Supervise and teach classes in schools, ensuring an effective learning environment.
Team Coordination: Work with the Manager of Youth Services to schedule additional team members to assist with teaching and supervising participants.
Reporting: Develop and complete weekly and monthly status reports for participants.
Performance Tracking: Track and collect performance metrics and outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness.
