The Instructor, Practical Nursing is responsible for the design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of classroom, laboratory, simulation, online, and clinical instruction within the Practical Nursing program at Martin Community College. This position supports student learning, licensure preparation, program outcomes, and the mission of the College while ensuring compliance with North Carolina Board of Nursing Education Rules, accreditation standards, clinical partner requirements, North Carolina Community College System standards, and Martin Community College policies and procedures. Instructional assignments may include day, evening, weekend, clinical, hybrid, and online courses and require effective use of instructional technology, student assessment practices, clinical evaluation methods, and learning management systems. In addition to fulfilling the general duties and expectations of curriculum faculty, the Practical Nursing Instructor assumes program-specific responsibilities necessary to support the operation, compliance, and effectiveness of the Practical Nursing program. The Instructor reports directly to the Director, Nursing and supports instructional needs within the Practical Nursing program, as assigned.
