About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg seeks a collaborative pianist to work as a Part-time Instructor of Piano. This role involves providing private piano instruction, accompanying university choirs and musicals, and teaching a class per semester. The position is open until filled.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in music.
• Experience in both private piano instruction.
• Experience in choral accompanying.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to teach in both Classical and jazz styles.
• Experience teaching in a university setting.

Responsibilities

• Providing private instruction (1/2 hour lessons) for up to 4 piano students in our piano studio.
• Accompanying the Pitt-Greensburg Chorale and Chamber Singers in weekly rehearsals and semester performances, working with the music director.
• Accompanying university musicals when scheduled.
• Teaching one class per semester, typically Class Piano for beginners or other course within the candidate’s expertise.
