About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Chemistry and Physics invites applications for the position of Instructor of Physics. As an Instructor, you will be expected to teach undergraduate-level courses and labs. You would be responsible for preparing lessons and assessments based on a list of course learning objectives and using the textbook already adopted. Additionally, you would be expected to participate in service activities for the Department, University, and Community.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physics from an accredited university.
  • At least 18 credit hours of graduate-level physics courses by hire date.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience teaching introductory physics lecture and laboratory courses.
  • Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and service.
  • Willingness to serve in a community that values all students.
  • Willingness to collaborate with faculty of varied backgrounds.
