About The Position

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatric Diagnostic Radiology. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop an individual training experience in research skills and teaching while developing a career in an academic setting.

Requirements

  • M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Demonstrated research focus in a specific area with a desire to start an independent career

Nice To Haves

  • Receipt or in pursuit of an NIH K Award or other Career Development Awards from foundations
  • Training in basic science research related to a specific area
  • Candidates may be enrolled in additional training programs including Master's studies

Responsibilities

  • Teaching of residents, medical students, and/or fellows
  • Development of research credentials and scholarships
  • Development of expertise in teaching, administration, clinical research
  • Clinical activities will be related to additional training
