About The Position

The Endovascular Fellow Instructor is a fully trained neurologist or neurosurgeon who is Board eligible and has a full medical license to practice in Florida. This role involves spending one full year learning from senior faculty and teaching residents advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and procedures related to the endovascular management of cerebrovascular disease. The purpose of this job is to develop the diagnostic and therapeutic skills of the candidate so they can compete for top academic positions and perform as a Neuro-Endovascular neurologist or neurosurgeon.

Requirements

  • Fully trained neurologist or neurosurgeon
  • Board eligible

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with technical aspects of neuro-endovascular procedures by the end of the position year.
  • Excellent knowledge and technical expertise in diagnostic cerebral and spinal angiography.
  • Excellent knowledge and technical expertise in cerebral and spinal embolizations for hemorrhagic vascular disease or tumors or trauma.
  • Excellent knowledge and technical expertise in mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke.

Responsibilities

  • Learn from senior faculty and teach residents advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and procedures related to the endovascular management of cerebrovascular disease.
  • Teach and perform surgery in conjunction with the neurosurgery resident, chief resident, and attending.
  • Ensure that the residents' experience in the operating room is not negatively affected.
  • Develop diagnostic and therapeutic skills to compete for top academic positions and perform as a Neuro-Endovascular neurologist or neurosurgeon.
