About The Position

The Department of Mathematics at Bradley University invites applications for a non-tenure track position as an Instructor in Residence for the 2026-2027 academic year. This one-year, non-renewable position would be focused primarily in introductory mathematics courses (e.g. college algebra through second semester calculus) offered by the Department of Mathematics. The successful candidate may also be expected to teach general education mathematics courses, if needed and if their background allows. Successful candidates will be expected to help sustain the University's emphasis on high-quality educational practices in the classroom.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctorate in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics education.
  • Strong coursework background or significant experience in mathematics education.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
  • Show promise of pedagogical excellence in a Liberal Arts and Sciences setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
