About The Position

The primary responsibilities of the faculty are to teach and to develop the curriculum. This role involves creating and delivering learning experiences, employing effective teaching strategies, assessing student progress, and cultivating an engaging classroom environment. The instructor will also participate in program reviews, strategic planning, and curriculum development. Integration of educational technology and participation in college meetings and committees are also key aspects of this position. The position is a Regular Full-Time, 10-month role located at the Main Campus and is fully in-person.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in the field or closely related discipline required.
  • Five years field experience.
  • EPA and NATE certifications required.
  • Microsoft office proficiency required with emphasis on technology usage in the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop curriculum.
  • Create and deliver learning experiences that support students in achieving learning outcomes.
  • Employ teaching methods to design and maintain an engaging and effective learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to promote growth and academic success.
  • Cultivate a classroom environment that reflects the college’s mission, values, and goals.
  • Participate in program and discipline activities related to curriculum development and implementation.
  • Contribute to program reviews and strategic planning by offering recommendations on curriculum, staffing, facilities, and equipment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to deepen expertise and enhance instructional strategies.
  • Effectively integrate relevant educational technology tools into teaching.
  • Participate in department, division, campus, and college meetings and committees, supporting institutional goals and initiatives.
  • Maintain weekly office hours as required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Perform other related duties as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
