About The Position

The School of Education seeks applications for temporary instructor positions on an as-needed basis within the Family and Consumer Sciences program for the 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity arises when a current instructor is unavailable. Instructors will teach undergraduate pre-service teachers face-to-face and/or online in areas of their expertise. Positions are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer terms, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and funding availability. Requirements

• Earned master's degree in family and consumer sciences or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and service within the family and consumer sciences field of study (e.g., family and consumer sciences education, personal and family finance).

Nice To Haves

• Earned doctoral degree in family and consumer sciences or a related field.
• Successful P-12 and/or post-secondary education teaching/training experience.
• Evidence of collaboration with public school teachers and administrators.

Responsibilities
