About The Position

Provides instruction for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs as directed and uses effective teaching methods. Responsible for monitoring and submitting daily sign-in sheets and other required forms in support of the program and documenting the progress of the students. Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification (CCMA) as well as a Phlebotomy certification (CPT)
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in the field as a CCMA
  • Hands on experience in the following areas for at least 3 years or more: Vitals, EKG's, Injections (Intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal), Blood Specimen Collection (urine and other lab samples), Infection Control and Aseptic Technique
  • Broad command of Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology
  • Working knowledge of front desk duties
  • Ability to obtain patient histories
  • Strong computer skills using Word, Excel, and EMR
