About The Position
The Instructor, Career Preparation coordinates and implements the career preparation period program for new students in compliance with government and management directives. The role develops and delivers lessons, recommends appropriate training programs for students based on individual assessments, supports student arrivals, and participates in employability programs and activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of related experience.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management; the position involves driving a seven-passenger van.
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and deliver career preparation lessons using a variety of teaching strategies to meet student learning needs.
- Recommend an appropriate training program for each assigned student using background files, personal interviews, tests, and other assessment tools.
- Conduct pre-arrival contacts with potential enrollees; prepare and mail pre-arrival and safe-arrival letters in a timely manner; and coordinate arrival activities with other center departments.
- Participate in student employability programs and activities.
