About The Position

The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applicants for a 12-month non-tenure (continuing) track Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor in Livestock Veterinary Services. The successful candidate will join our current team of livestock focused veterinarians and specialists to provide high quality education and excellent clinical service, advance knowledge relative to contemporary livestock issues, and positively contribute to the profession. Faculty in Livestock Veterinary Services are responsible for managing complex medical, surgical, and occasionally herd-health cases primarily within the Livestock Hospital and for supporting the clinical training of house officers and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students. The Livestock Service is a critical component of the hospital’s operations, providing essential diagnostic, medical, and emergency care for all livestock species, including commercial and pet ruminant livestock, camelids, commercial and potbellied pigs, while supporting producers and veterinarians throughout Colorado and the region. The selected candidate will provide up to 34 weeks of clinical effort, contribute to didactic and laboratory instruction for DVM students, and engage in scholarly development and applied clinical research that advances livestock health and production medicine. There are numerous opportunities for collaborative research and outreach across the department, college, and university, consistent with CSU’s land-grant mission to serve the agricultural and veterinary communities through education, discovery, and service. We seek a colleague committed to excellence in clinical care of mostly tertiary referral type patients, teaching, and mentorship—one who will meaningfully contribute to the training of veterinary students, interns, and residents, and who will strengthen our partnerships with referring veterinarians and the broader community. Work authorization visa sponsorship may be available based on the specific situation for the selected final candidate. A signing bonus may be considered for successful candidates. For full consideration, all materials must be submitted in Workday no later than 12:00 AM Mountain Time, April 11, 2026.
