About The Position

As a lecturer in Architectural Technology, you are responsible for imparting your knowledge to students, designing course content, and evaluating learning. This role involves frequent interactions with international students and team members.

Requirements

  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, architectural technology, building engineering, civil engineering or a related field
  • Have two (2) years of relevant experience in the architecture, construction or building sector
  • Proficiency in specialized software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and generative AI tools (GenAI)
  • Fluency in the French language (oral and written)
  • Proficiency in the English language at a professional level (oral and written)

Nice To Haves

  • Have taught a full course in the last five (5) years
  • Be a member of the OAQ or the OTPQ or in the process of becoming one

Responsibilities

  • Plan course sessions in line with the objectives of the program and the targeted skills
  • Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner
  • Design formative and summative assessments according to the competency-based approach
  • Correct evaluations and ensure constructive feedback from students
  • Offer personalized follow-up to students and promote their academic success
  • Be available to meet the educational needs of students outside of class hours
  • Integrate artificial intelligence technologies and tools into teaching practices
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the program and departmental activities
