About The Position

This position will support the OSF College of Nursing in Rockford, IL. The Instructor Simulation Lab Faculty operates, maintains, and ensures access to simulation/lab equipment and supplies while serving as a resource for nursing students during laboratory practice and simulations. Other responsibilities include partnering with faculty to guide and provide simulation-based education to all students; collaborating with course faculty regarding the goals and objectives of simulation activities; and providing recommendations regarding the design, implementation, and evaluation of simulation activities. Additionally, the position collaborates with educators to identify student learning needs, educational strategies, learning objectives, and learner assessments. Assists with data collection for student and program outcomes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing
• Experience in educational program development
• IL Reg Nurse License
• IL APN License
• Healthcare simulation certification within one year of hire
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate
• APRN with 2 years' experience with high-fidelity simulation equipment, task trainers, and simulation development
• Simulation Healthcare Educator
