Requirements

  • Master of Science degree in apparel merchandising or a closely related field
  • Experience in instruction at a higher education institution
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience managing inventory systems in an online environment
  • Direct experience in end-to-end digital commerce operations through Shopify
  • Experience with training or supervision of interns supporting digital marketing and e-commerce operations.
  • Experience with social media strategy for creating content, promotion, and related functions to support e-commerce growth
  • Experience with revenue performance with e-commerce sales

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, with a focus on e-commerce, within the Apparel Merchandising and Product Development (AMPD) program.
  • Teach a minimum of two courses per semester.
  • Manage e-commerce sales for the upper-level merchandising capstone course.
  • Guiding students as interns working on the backend operations of Mag’s Closet as they gain hands-on experience with core business functions, including product merchandising, pricing, inventory management, fulfillment, and the development of social media marketing strategies.
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty.
  • Ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships.
