About The Position

To assist the Director of Media and Instructional Technology to effectively integrate technology into all content areas in grades K-12. This role involves developing, planning, and implementing technology professional development, providing technology coaching and feedback to classroom teachers, and disseminating information about technology. The specialist will maintain a log of classroom and school visits, offer basic technical support for current technology programs and equipment, and participate in the examination, selection, and/or adoption of technology-related instructional materials. Additionally, the role requires researching and staying updated on new technology products and software, investigating effective technology learning tools and strategies, and participating in district, local, and state meetings as appropriate. The specialist will also serve on district technology sub-committees as assigned and perform other duties as directed by their supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, or Library Media degree with teacher certification
  • A minimum of three successful years teaching or Library Media experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum writing
  • Demonstrated experience in integration of Technology in the curricula.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Research and keep updated on new technology products and software.
  • Investigate effective technology learning tools and strategies being implemented throughout the state and nation.
  • Participate in district, local and state meetings, as appropriate.
  • Serve as member of district technology sub-committees, as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
