About The Position

The Office of Academic Innovation is seeking an experienced Instructional Technologist with specialized knowledge in online computer science education and experience directly advising faculty to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students. This position will be directly responsible for a portfolio of approximately 5 courses, serve as an advisor to faculty on online teaching best practices, provide technology consultations, and trainings for all program stakeholders. This position will be joining a fast-paced, agile team in a growing and dynamic program. Candidates must be willing and able to participate in the team's on-call evening and weekend work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, technology or a related field and a minimum of one year of related experience, preferably in higher education. or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or facilitating large online courses or working on or with teaching teams
  • Expertise in administrating LMSs (Canvas preferred), LTI integrations, and associated instructional technologies
  • Strong customer service skills, positive attitude, and attention-to-detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately five courses.
  • Provide instructional design and technology expertise for stakeholders across the program, including students, staff, faculty, and TAs.
  • Serve as an advisor to faculty on online teaching best practices.
  • Assist in fulfilling technology and logistical requests.
  • Lead and contribute to special projects that enhance instructional quality, learning experiences, and the overall technology ecosystem of the program, including piloting new tools, improving workflows, and scaling innovations across courses.
  • Develop training materials and documentation, perform testing, develop workarounds, and contribute to vendor relationships.
  • Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and supervision of large teams of TAs.
  • Participate in the team's on-call evening and weekend work.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
