About The Position

The Instructional Systems Designer IV / Developer serves as a senior subject matter expert responsible for analyzing training needs and designing, developing, and evaluating instructor-led, computer-based, and virtual learning solutions. This role applies advanced instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE and human-centered design, to produce complete, high-quality training products. The ISD IV collaborates closely with government and contractor stakeholders to ensure training solutions align with mission requirements and leverage innovative instructional technologies.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a SECRET Security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship/Residency required
  • Senior‑level Subject Matter Expert (Level IV) with exceptional or highly unique expertise in instructional systems design
  • Extensive experience and/or education in instructional design, learning architecture, or training development
  • Demonstrated authority in a specialized instructional design discipline with the ability to provide strategic guidance
  • Ability to lead complex training development efforts from project inception through completion
  • Expertise in ADDIE methodology and advanced instructional design principles
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external government stakeholders and partners
  • Strong written communication skills with adherence to Army and grammatical writing standards
  • Capability to work effectively with instructional designers, developers, media specialists, programmers, and SMEs
  • Ability to provide analysis, recommendations, and professional instructional design documentation
  • Ability to perform standard office and computer-based work
  • Ability to participate in collaborative design sessions and reviews

Responsibilities

  • Perform all phases of the ADDIE process for training development
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses (needs, task, gap, audience, media, delivery, etc.) and produce analysis reports
  • Design complete course and product documentation, including objectives, course maps, delivery strategies, and resource requirements
  • Develop full‑scale learning products such as interactive multimedia instruction, video, audio, and job aids
  • Repair, modify, redevelop, test, and validate courseware on target learning management systems
  • Provide instructional design subject matter expertise throughout design, development, testing, and evaluation phases
  • Apply innovative, learner‑centric, and human‑centered design strategies
