About The Position

The ISD Language Training Developer shall analyze customer requirements, available training methods, and technologies to design and develop the required training materials. They will coordinate with the customer to identify the critical knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by personnel working in language analysis workforce roles and technical requirements of the training content. They will conduct research, collaborate with operational technical experts and language training developers. They will review training materials design and ensure it meets customer needs and address any inconsistencies or defects.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. in Language, Language-related, Area Studies, Education, International Relations, or ISD. In lieu of the relevant bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of applied, practical experience as a language analyst, developing foreign language training materials, or teaching adults' foreign language can be substituted.
  • Speaker with native American English capability and ILR Listening 2/Reading 2 or higher foreign language skill, documented within the last ten (10) years.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience, within the last eight (8) years, in ISD, Educational Technology, and education and training, involving:
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in face-to-face classroom ISD and development; and
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in synchronous and asynchronous electronic classroom ISD and development.
  • One year experience typing, using English and appropriate foreign language fonts, keyboards, and computer software.
  • Experience using Blackboard LMS
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Premier and Adobe Audition or similar audio/video software
  • Prior experience working on Government/Military Language Training Projects

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years SIGINT or Intelligence Community experience as a language analyst, language instructor, and/or intelligence analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing Government Furnished Information (GFI) and subsequently building a design plan and managing a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to complete language training projects in accordance with the customer’s specifications within the time allotted under program guidelines.
  • Responsible for collaborating with SMEs to develop advanced foreign language training materials.
  • Interact with the customer and SMEs to ensure the accuracy of instructional content.
  • Responsible for creating Training Guides, Lesson Plans, online content, video and audio recordings, and other documentation.
  • Assign the collection and development of material needed to build Training Guides and other training materials.
  • Review, copy and edit all materials provided by the SMEs.
  • Support team meetings and provide technical guidance to SMEs and weekly project feedback to the ISD Lead.
