Requirements

• Previous successful experience teaching or supervising children.

• Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of classroom and instructional materials.
• Provide ancillary instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education teacher.
• Support students and assist teachers as needed throughout the school day.
• Act as a resource person concerning health/education issues for individual students.
• Perform lunch/recess supervision and other duties as needed.
• Assume responsibility for continuing own education and obtain consultation, supervision and peer review as needed.
