Instructional Specialist - Reading & Comprehension (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About The Position
Instruct students in Reading & Comprehension related to TUSD curriculum. This is a temporary part-time position for 2 hours per day, working on a 9.5-month calendar. Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. The role is located at Fruchthendler Elementary School.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two (2) years of experience with youth
- Associate’s (or higher) degree or Completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR 60 Semester-Hour credits at an institute of higher learning (Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted at time of hire).
- Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
- FBI fingerprint background check.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a teacher aide.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
