About The Position
Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher and/or behavior specialist. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing of student self-regulation skills to assist in successful classroom skills. Maintain a highly structured and orderly environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's degree, or 60 college credit hours, or passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a school setting
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English)
