About The Position

This position focuses on student achievement by working with teachers to ensure quality implementation of research-based mathematics and science program(s) and scientifically-based mathematics and science strategies/practices at the secondary level. This role is associated with potential incentive pay through the Unified School Improvement Grant (UniSIG) and the Supplemental Teacher and Administrator Allocation (STAA).

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A valid Florida teaching certificate.
  • Certification in 6-16 mathematics or science for high school and/or 5-9 mathematics or science for middle school.
  • A minimum of three years successful teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in knowledge of the Sunshine State Standards.
  • Demonstrated competency in scientifically-based mathematics/science research.
  • Demonstrated competency in exemplary practices in mathematics/science instruction.
  • Demonstrated competency in data analysis.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct activities for teachers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, administration, district staff, and the public.
  • Experienced in facilitating adult training.
  • Meet the criteria for the 2026-27 Unified School Improvement Grant (UniSIG) as established by the Florida Department of Education.
  • Have a School District Student Growth Measure or a State Value Added Model (VAM) score of "Effective" or "Highly Effective".
  • Have successfully completed at least three (3) or more years of verified teaching experience.
  • Hold Florida certification in a core subject area [e.g., Elementary, K-5; English Language Arts; Mathematics; Science; Social Studies; Reading; or Exceptional Student Education (ESE)].
  • Be hired or transfer to work at Knight's Point K-8 School no later than September 15, 2026.

  • A Masters Degree is desirable.

Benefits

  • $15,000 for an eligible State VAM rating of "Highly Effective" (Recruitment Incentive STAA).
  • $7,500 for an eligible State VAM rating of "Effective" (Recruitment Incentive STAA).
