The Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) Member at Lawrence School plays a crucial role in shared decision-making at the school level. The ILT guides and facilitates the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan, Cycle of Continuous Improvement, and Operational Plan. The primary goal of the ILT is to support school improvement by promoting strong, student-centered instructional practices to foster student success. ILT members are expected to embody the mission and values of Lawrence School, reflect on and improve their own practices, and model strong instructional practices. They serve as a voice for positive change, lead equity initiatives, and maintain a positive, strengths-based perspective towards students, families, colleagues, and the school community. ILT members will lead specific groups (e.g., grade level teams, role-based teacher groups) in implementing instructional improvements or school culture initiatives developed by the ILT. Decision-making within the ILT is data-driven. Members are required to attend all ILT meetings, which are held on Thursdays from 7:40-8:25 AM, twice a month. Additionally, ILT members will lead at least one Professional Learning Community (PLC) during the school year.
