About The Position

Really exciting things are happening at State Bank of Southern Utah, and we’re growing our Training and Development team to support it. This role will blend instructional design (e-learning, online modules, video content) with live, in-person instruction (presentations, classes, etc.). Requirements

  • You know, love, and promote State Bank’s core values and culture.
  • Proven experience in training, instructional design, and employee development (be ready to share what you’ve done in the past).
  • Experience with graphic design, animation, e-learning and fluency – you’re confident in systems like Articulate 360, iSpring Suite, Adobe Photoshop/Premiere/Audition/Illustrator.
  • Strong videography skills – experience including storyboarding, filming, and video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with presentation software, preferably Microsoft Powerpoint.
  • Expertise in adult learning theory – you actively research and are excited about training and development methods.
  • Experience working well both in teams and independently. There will be times you’re working closely with several others, and some times you’ll be on your own for weeks. You need to be able to thrive in both situations.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Sometimes we’ve got a lot of projects and there’s a lot going on – having a positive attitude and even enjoying it a little is a plus.
  • High sense of ownership – you own your deadlines, organize your priorities, and execute with consistency and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative experience with Learning Management Systems.
  • Banking experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or a related field highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instructional materials for various learning formats, including e-learning, video tutorials, animation, presentations, and blended learning.
  • Implement instructional strategies, such as simulations, job aids, and interactive modules to enhance the learning experience.
  • Lead the production and editing of video-based training modules.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and translate them into engaging and effective instructional content.
  • Ensure all materials adhere to adult learning principles and align with company goals and brand standards.
  • Perform administrative duties for the bank’s LMS, including but not limited to course creation, course updates, course assignments, creating reports and make appropriate adjustments based on the information those reports show.
  • Create and update learning paths that fit the knowledge, skills, and performance standards required for success.
  • Occasionally present live training, both in-person and through video conferencing.
  • Assist other employees outside of the Training & Development department in creating content for their presentations and training opportunities.
  • Stay current with industry trends in instructional design, e-learning, and videography.
  • Utilize feedback and data to continuously improve training materials and learner engagement.
