About The Position

Position Summary: The Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to help create engaging, high-impact learning experiences for real estate professionals. This role is ideal for a learning professional who thrives on designing engaging courses, repurposing educational content, and contributing to the evolution of modern learning solutions. You'll work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), vendors, and cross-functional teams to develop high-quality courses, webinars, and learning content that aligns with instructional design best practices and industry trends. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, digital learning development, or course management.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms, SCORM, and course authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, etc.).
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and interactive design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors in a collaborative environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think creatively and find solutions to problems.
  • Proficiency with Articulate authoring tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness to internal and external inquiries.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Develop and launch engaging online courses using authoring tools and learning management system (LMS) platforms.
  • Support the full course lifecycle, from creation and updates to revisions and redesigns.
  • Contribute to the growth of a holistic learning ecosystem, integrating formal courses, informal learning, bite-sized learning, and social learning experiences.
  • Design interactive learning elements, including job aids, case studies, and assessments.
  • Utilize learner data and analytics to help identify trends and support optimization of course offerings and engagement across multiple learning formats.
  • Work closely with the Manager or Director of Learning and Development to execute CRD's educational strategy, ensuring alignment with learner needs and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team on projects, share best practices, and support the development of innovative learning initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and SMEs from concept to content delivery.
  • Analyze existing educational materials (courses, webinars, videos, guides) to identify opportunities for repurposing into new coursework.
  • Support the design and structure of webinar-based learning experiences, ensuring smooth LMS integration.
  • Convert live and recorded webinars into structured courses with learning objectives, assessments, and interactive elements.
  • Work with instructors and facilitators to enhance webinar engagement and learner participation.
  • Apply best practices for LMS functionality, branding, accessibility, and instructional design.
  • Other duties as assigned.
