About The Position

WOOD is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support mission-driven training initiatives focused on complex, technology-based systems. This role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives at the intersection of engineering and education, someone who can translate technical platforms into effective, certifiable training experiences for adult learners. The selected candidate will join a high-performing training team responsible for developing and delivering blended learning solutions that prepare students to confidently operate mission-critical software systems. This position requires both instructional design depth and hands-on classroom execution, including management of operational training workstations. We are looking for a professional who understands that effective training is not simply content delivery, it is the structured transfer of capability. The ideal candidate combines strong curriculum development expertise with technical fluency, a systems mindset, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers, subject matter experts, and technical writers. Requirements

  • This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and deliver learning strategies based on a blended‐learning strategy.
  • Instruct adult learners and manage up to 50 classroom workstations.
  • Evaluate instructional programs, course content, and instructional methodologies.
  • Analyze learning objectives against program requirements and coordinate data gathering and processing for various levels of evaluation and assessment.
  • Develop job aids for users, subject matter experts, and instructors who may be new to the targeted technology.
  • Maintain CBT modules and human‐machine interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain WCI content and Lesson Plans.
