The Instructional Designer & Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging training programs and learning content that align with the organization’s goals. This role includes creating multimedia learning modules, instructional videos, and e-learning courses, as well as facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions. The Instructional Designer & Trainer applies best practices in instructional design to ensure content is clear, effective, and tailored to diverse learning needs. Additionally, the role involves managing the Learning Management System (LMS), tracking employee progress, and continuously evaluating and improving training programs. By collaborating with department leaders and subject matter experts, this position plays a key role in driving employee development, enhancing performance, and ensuring training effectiveness across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training and Development, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in corporate training, instructional design, or e-learning developmen
  • Expertise in creating and delivering engaging training content, including video production and multimedia content
  • Strong proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia
  • Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and video production
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging way
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to assess training needs and adapt content to diverse learning styles
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and produce learning modules, training videos, and other multimedia content that supports employee development and organizational objectives
  • Lead and facilitate engaging training sessions through various delivery methods, including in-person workshops, virtual classrooms, webinars, and e-learning platforms.
  • Ensure training content is relevant, effective, and tailored to the needs of the audience
  • Apply best practices in instructional design to create clear, concise, and effective training materials, ensuring they are accessible and aligned with adult learning principles
  • Collaborate with internal teams or external vendors to produce high-quality instructional videos that complement training modules. This includes scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, and final production
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Use this data to continuously improve and refine training content and delivery
  • Upload and manage training materials in the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is up-to-date and accessible
  • Track employee progress and compliance with mandatory training requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in training, learning technologies, and video production techniques
  • Continuously improve training materials and methodologies to enhance learning outcomes
  • Work closely with department managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other stakeholders to identify training needs and ensure content aligns with business goals
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee progress.
  • Provide reports to leadership on training effectiveness, completion rates, and areas for improvement
