About The Position

The Instructional Coach supports teachers in strengthening instructional practices and student achievement while teaching classes as assigned. The position provides coaching, feedback, professional development, and data support while collaborating with staff and administration to promote effective instruction and continuous academic improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate appropriate for the assigned position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices, data-driven instruction, and classroom management.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to support teacher development and manage instructional and coaching responsibilities.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional coaching, guidance, and support to teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide timely, constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Model effective instructional strategies and classroom practices.
  • Support teachers with lesson planning, differentiation, classroom management, student engagement, and instructional strategies.
  • Assist teachers in analyzing student achievement data and developing instructional action plans.
  • Facilitate and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
  • Identify instructional needs and assist with developing and delivering professional development.
  • Support the implementation of school-wide instructional initiatives, curriculum, and academic expectations.
  • Mentor and support new teachers and staff as assigned.
  • Collaborate with administration and instructional staff to monitor progress toward academic goals.
  • Teach classes, as assigned based on school and instructional needs.
  • Plan and deliver standards-aligned, engaging, and differentiated instruction.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, lesson plans, and required instructional records.
  • Provide appropriate interventions and support to meet individual student needs.
  • Communicate with students, families, and colleagues regarding student progress and academic needs.
  • Serve as an instructional resource and teacher leader for the school.
  • Build collaborative and professional relationships with teachers, administrators, students, and families.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, PLCs, committees, and school events.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administration to support the overall mission of the school.
