About The Position

The Instructional Coach will provide high-quality, targeted instructional coaching to AXL Academy teachers as part of AXL's expansion of its middle school and ongoing commitment to high-quality instruction. Coaching will focus on three core domains: Classroom Management & Culture through Teach Like a Champion Strategies, Embedded Multi-Lingual Learner (MLL) instructional practices, and Lesson Planning, Instructional Rigor, & Standards-Based Grading. Once a teacher demonstrates mastery in these foundational areas, coaching may extend into advanced domains such as assessment design, differentiation, and data-driven instruction. The coach will work with 3–15 teachers (coachees) and provide 2-3 coaching touchpoints per teacher per week (observations and/or coaching meetings). The role includes monthly alignment meetings with the AXL Administration Team and regular submission of coaching data to help inform teacher growth and evaluation processes.

Requirements

• Experience in instructional coaching.
• Knowledge of Classroom Management & Culture strategies (e.g., Teach Like a Champion).
• Knowledge of Embedded Multi-Lingual Learner (MLL) instructional practices.
• Knowledge of Lesson Planning, Instructional Rigor, & Standards-Based Grading.
• Ability to coach in advanced domains such as assessment design, differentiation, and data-driven instruction.
• Ability to work with 3-15 teachers.
• Ability to provide 2-3 coaching touchpoints per teacher per week.
• Ability to participate in monthly alignment meetings.
• Ability to submit coaching data regularly.

• Participate in monthly alignment meetings with the AXL Administration Team.
• Regularly submit coaching data to inform teacher growth and evaluation processes.
