Instructional Coach at Nixon Elementary
About The Position
Instructional Coaches (IC) at PLA are passionate and devoted leaders who bring creativity and rigor to classrooms by providing support to educators. As an instructional coach, you will be responsible for supporting the improvement of classroom instruction across the campus. The IC will work with educators to provide individual coaching, support teachers in utilizing data to drive instruction, and is responsible for identifying and coordinating the needed professional development to support the success of staff. PLA leaders strongly believe in every scholar’s ability to succeed, and they work tirelessly to create a school experience that fosters success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Valid State Teacher License
- High proficiency in grade-level standards, benchmarks, and curriculum
- Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving
- Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree, preferred
