About The Position
Nativity Catholic School is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year to support elementary-age students. The ideal candidate will uphold the mission of Catholic Education and possess strong communication and organizational skills. This role offers valuable classroom experience in a supportive, faith-based environment. The Instructional Assistant will work closely with a lead teacher to support lesson delivery, provide small-group instruction, and assist with behavior management to create a positive and engaging learning space.
Requirements
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under the direction of the classroom teacher, principal, and assistant principal.
- Successful completion of a Level II background screening.
Responsibilities
- Assist with attendance and classroom routines.
- Reinforce lessons, concepts, and skills one-on-one with students or in small groups.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the classroom.
- Maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment.
- Enforce school and class rules to teach students proper behavior.
- Supervise students during recess and lunch, ensuring appropriate behavior and orderly routines.
- Ability to manage classroom in the absence of the teacher.
