About The Position

Under the direct supervision of a licensed teacher, the Instructional Assistant performs one-to-one or small group instruction, clerical work, and other assigned activities. This position is located at Redland Elementary and requires 6.5 hours of work per day, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch, for a total of 7 hours daily. The school year consists of 186 days, prorated for the 26-27 school year.

Requirements

• Ability to work harmoniously with teachers, students, and other staff.
• Ability to take direction appropriately, changing tasks as necessary.
• Completed two years of post-high school, obtained an Associate's degree or higher or successfully passed (or ability to pass) the WorkKeys test.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must be fingerprinted and have a criminal record check at their own expense.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish desired, but not required.
