About The Position
Assist in providing instruction to students in assigned music classes. Reinforce instruction for individuals or small groups, conduct warm-up sessions and rehearsals, transpose and arrange music, and perform clerical tasks as assigned. A candidate specializing in Lower Strings is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Any combination equivalent to high school graduation, two years of college or an AA degree, supplemented by private or college-level training in music theory and at least one year of experience in a music teaching environment.
- At least one year of experience in a strings or orchestral teaching environment.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License.
Nice To Haves
- Specialization in Lower Strings.
- Bachelor’s degree in music or a related field and three years of experience in a music program.
- At least two years of musical ensemble playing experience.
