About The Position
The Instructional Assistant I position at Mission Avenue School is a part-time, permanent role within the Support Staff & Services category, specifically in Instructional Support. This role involves working with groups of children and requires specific qualifications and documentation to pre-qualify. The position is part of the CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule and operates on a 18A calendar, which includes 9 months of work per year, 206 days per year, and 5 days per week. The daily work schedule is 6 hours, from Monday to Friday, 8:55 AM to 3:25 PM.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with groups of children.
- Attach one of the required materials to pre-qualify.
- Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
- Attach High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Attach passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
- Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
