About The Position

Works under direct supervision of program management to provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CDL and clean driving record.
• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated, or willing to get vaccinated.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Excellent internal and external customer service.
• Work in an ethical and professional manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including responding well to supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrate respect and sensitivity to diversity.
• General knowledge of developmental and physical disabilities.
• Knowledge of individual/group instruction techniques.
• Knowledge of behavioral and medical knowledge associated with given disabilities (e.g., seizure activity).
• Knowledge of correct lifting, positioning, and transferring techniques.
• Knowledge of behavior modification techniques.
• Knowledge of documentation procedures.
• Ability to remain calm in high stress situations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional skills training to disabled customers.
• Provide personal care to disabled customers.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR certificates.
• Meet California Community Care Licensing personnel standards.
