About The Position

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is seeking an Instructional Aide to provide classroom support on a part-time basis for the 2026-2027 school year. A successful candidate will have experience working with children in a school setting and will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support instruction, student engagement, and daily classroom operations. The Instructional Aide serves in a part-time capacity in accordance with the school calendar and schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with children, preferably in a school
Basic knowledge of child development
Understanding of and respect for the mission of Catholic education
Strong communication skills
Flexibility, compassion, and a positive attitude
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lessons and instructional activities
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior strategies
Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
Support students in developing independence, responsibility, and positive peer interactions
Supervise students during classroom activities, specialist classes, and recess
Help maintain an organized, orderly, clean, and safe classroom environment
Support the integration of Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction
Participate in prayer, school Mass, religious activities, and liturgical celebrations with students
Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and students
