About The Position

The primary objective of this position is to assist classroom teachers in the instructional process, reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment. The aide will assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans, and provide routine support. Additionally, the role involves assisting students with academic and/or physical needs to ensure they can access the educational environment. The scheduled hours for this position are 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in the instructional process, reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans
• Provide routine support
• Assist students with academic and/or physical needs in order for students to access the educational environment
• Assist teachers with instruction of students in the classroom
• Assist teachers as needed (i.e., keeping the students engaged in the learning process)
• Assist at rest time hour as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
