About The Position

Pasadena Unified School District is hiring a bilingual Mandarin Instructional Aide at Field Elementary School. The aide assists teachers and other certificated personnel with instructional and non-instructional activities, many of which require bilingual support. The role involves reading, writing, and conversing in English and Mandarin, performing clerical duties related to school or program activities, and providing translation as needed. This position is scheduled for 5 hours per day, 5 days per week. The district serves Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre and describes its goal of providing a safe and inclusive environment for students and staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Recent paid or volunteer experience involving organized activities with children.
Ability to read, write, and converse in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities
