About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Instructional Aide to support learning across two elementary classrooms (either two 1st-grade classrooms or two 5th-grade classrooms). The primary responsibility of this role is delivering targeted small-group instruction, pulling student groups for intervention or enrichment, and managing learning activities under the guidance of the certified teachers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
Basic computer/technology literacy.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree, 60 college credits, or ParaPro Certification preferred.
Prior experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Patience.
Adaptability between two distinct classroom environments.

Responsibilities

Pull small groups of students for targeted reading, writing, and math interventions or enrichment activities.
Execute teacher-prepared lesson plans for small groups, adapting delivery to meet diverse learning needs.
Monitor independent student work and provide immediate feedback and guidance.
Assist in managing learning centers and rotation stations during core instructional blocks.
Support teachers in maintaining a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment.
Reinforce school-wide and classroom behavioral expectations using positive reinforcement.
Assist individual students who need academic, emotional, or behavioral focus during whole-group lessons.
Assist teachers with prepping instructional materials, copying, and organizing learning spaces.
Perform required supervision duties, including recess, lunchroom, drop-off/pick-up, or hallway monitoring.
Help administer and proctor informal classroom assessments or standardized testing as directed.
Communicate regularly with supervising teachers regarding student progress, behavioral observations, and group dynamics.
