Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructional Aides/ Paraprofessionals to join our educational team. The Instructional Aides will work collaboratively with teachers to support student learning and ensure a positive and productive classroom environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about education and helping students reach their fullest potential.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
Familiarity with the educational process and teaching strategies is desirable.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teachers and administrators.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology are beneficial.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or coursework in education or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of children.
Support individual and small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts and skills.
Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and other school-related events, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assist with classroom management by promoting positive behaviors and addressing any behavioral challenges with appropriate strategies.
Support the preparation and organization of teaching materials, classroom set-up, and activities.
Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress, challenges, and important updates.
Assist in the assessment of student performance and behavior.
Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate students with varying needs and learning styles.
Participate in staff training, professional development, and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to special education practices.
Help create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that fosters emotional and social development.
