About The Position

Western Technical College is seeking individuals passionate about helping others learn, dedicated to serving students, and committed to the principles of equity and social justice. This position assists instructors in implementing individualized goals for students, helps with intake documentation and personalized education plans, and observes and records student data. The role actively promotes social justice within the division and the institution. This is a part-time, non-benefit-eligible position at the La Crosse Campus, supporting in-person evening programming (ELL and GED/HSED) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Requirements

Associate Degree in a related field OR Education combined with appropriate occupational experience in a related field totaling 2 years OR Occupational experience in a related field totaling 2 years.

Responsibilities

Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect.
Perform office functions including responding to internal/external customers and staff, creating and modifying documents, maintaining filing systems, monitoring inventory and budget information, and scheduling meetings.
Complete all required College training and maintain necessary skills.
Assist in preparing and delivering instructional materials.
Organize instructional and test preparation resources.
Proctor TABE and other examinations.
Provide one-on-one instructional support under the direction of the instructor.
Identify ‘test-ready’ students per instructor guidelines.
Help connect students with campus and community resources.
Administer client reporting form and other intake documentation.
Monitor and record student progress and achievement toward educational goals.
Track attendance for multiple reporting purposes.
