About The Position

Provides evidence-based instruction to special needs children with autism spectrum disorder. Prepares social, educational, and communication based instructional lessons and materials for classroom and community-based experiences. Collects, records, evaluates, and summarizes daily, monthly, and quarterly treatment data reports. Works collaboratively with staff, therapists, parents, and students.

Requirements

  • At least a bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instruction to special needs students with autism.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels and to interact appropriately with special needs children.

Nice To Haves

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in special education, early childhood education, or a related field.
  • Relevant experiences as registered behavior technician (RBT) and/or providing support for individuals with autism.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the provision of evidence-based instruction to special needs students with autism.
  • Prepares instructional lessons and materials for classroom and community-based activities.
  • Participates in evaluations and assessments of children with autism enrolled in the programs.
  • Maintains proper order and discipline in the classroom.
  • Assists in supervising outings.
  • Attends parent programs and staff meetings.
  • Assists with public relations events sponsored by the Rich Center for Autism.
  • Assists with training new hires.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
